Will watch this post with interest, have been looking at the HW60 or HW66 in 22lr as my first rimfire. When I spoke to a chap on the Hull Cartridge stand he explained that Weihrauch produce rimfires in low volume per year. People that own them tend to hold onto them, so this must speak volumes on quality of build and performance. Like the style and look of the HW66 Jagdmatch....a thing of beauty.

The .17 HMR HW 66 Jadgmatch is the one to get superb build quality, quality of timber and sublime trigger ( equal to the Anschutz 1517 trigger IMHO).

The HW 60 has the traditional German Hogs back stock which is not as good for scope or NV.

The only downside is the magazine capacity of 4 , no after market higher capacity mags available .

They’re nice but heavy I believe.

@oowee got rid of his and replaced it with a Tikka T1x in 17 hmr.

It was OK. I had to have new extractor claw and narrow dovetail rails were not so great for NV. Accurate and nice trigger but the wood (for me) and blueing is not practical. Small metal magazine was hopeless on clearance work but a good rifle for light work.

Trigger on T1x is not so nice but overall its a well made product, quick and agile, perfect for rabbits.

Sadly, correct.

I nearly bought the HW60 in WMR flavour having already owned a HW66 22 Hornet. Well, to be accurate, I actually did buy one and while waiting for it bought a spare mag' and a Britannia Rails extended scope rail. Unfortunately, a well regarded local RFD threw the bolt out with the packaging and by which time the production run had finished which meant no rifle for quite a while. Hello Anschutz. Consequently, on the bookshelf behind me sits both of the above items still in their packaging and unused. Both items fit both models and the mag' is both WMR and HMR.
