Tarka
wouldnt even think about it. could end up with dead ferrets because of the pig and you would get ****** sideways by the law if you get caught

Ferret Master
The pigs will kill your ferret's and seriously spoil your day if you dig down to one. Don't get caught up with the badger laws, it seems they have more protection from various agencys and legal rights than you or I. I suggest you steer well clear of badger sets while out enjoying a days ferreting. Besides a ferret is not the creature for pigs. Strictly talking about countries where it is legal of course. Fat Dog
If the rabbits are down the holes, are the badgers still at home ?? I doubt it. But do take care!!!
BSA Shaun
Wouldn't have thought the badgers and the rabbits would co-exist in one home, the badgers would have long gone. However for the sake of safety I would leave it well alone. Sit back and pop them off when they come out a wandering
Paul in North Lincs.
if you get caught interfering with a badger set...................you'll be for the high jump.................whether its redunadant or not
Frank
Badger homes, it seems, are far more protected then our own homes, so, it would be safer, to rob a house, then interfere with a badger set?? The law is an *** over here aswell.

Cranfield
Have known badgers and rabbits in the same warren  same as rabbits and fox  I have also seen this on many occasions. I would go nowhere near a suspected badgers sett with ferrets , or a gun, that is just asking for trouble.
lurcherboy
I seriously doubt that both occupy the same set. We come across this occasionally and rely on the farmers for sound intelligence and have had no SNAFU's to date. LB
Cranfield
To clarify the point of rabbits and badgers (or foxes) occupying the same earths. What I have seen many times and a good instance I saw yesterday a few miles from my cottage, is a large rabbit warren, where badgers have dug out some of the holes near one end and moved in. There is fresh sign of both badgers and rabbits using their respective entrances and exits. I am not suggesting the rabbits are entering the badgers area, or vice versa. Hele Hunter
Stear well clear. Badgers can be very rough. And you dont want any bother from the police because of reports of ferreters seen near rabbit holes. keep up the ferreting

I've got a large bury on a farm i ferret that the badgers have opened one end and moved into a few years back we used to ferret it all now we got rabbits in one end and badgers in the other and i know they are joined together under ground so i leave it alone and long net or shoot the rabbits there.
