The pigs will kill your ferret's and seriously spoil your day if you dig down to one. Don't get caught up with the badger laws, it seems they have more protection from various agencys and legal rights than you or I. I suggest you steer well clear of badger sets while out enjoying a days ferreting.

Besides a ferret is not the creature for pigs. :good: Strictly talking about countries where it is legal of course. :good:

To clarify the point of rabbits and badgers (or foxes) occupying the same earths.

What I have seen many times and a good instance I saw yesterday a few miles from my cottage, is a large rabbit warren, where badgers have dug out some of the holes near one end and moved in.

There is fresh sign of both badgers and rabbits using their respective entrances and exits.

I am not suggesting the rabbits are entering the badgers area, or vice versa.

I've got a large bury on a farm i ferret that the badgers have opened one end and moved into a few years back we used to ferret it all now we got rabbits in one end and badgers in the other and i know they are joined together under ground so i leave it alone and long net or shoot the rabbits there.
