some nice shooting there, well done. :good:

Never liked shooting in the corner of a field, birds always seem a bit reluctant to come close in, plus you have two hedges to lose birds over.

Thanks old'un.

To be honest, i just set up where they were feeding. The trees i was under were sitty trees but there is still a lot of leaf on them so it was hard to see. Thankfully there was a decent wind which made things a bit more predictable.

Cheers mate. I was out again this afternoon and had 3 greylag fly-pasts! Roll on the fowling!

Some nice steady shooting Big Al , is the ruleing of our GL the same for you in N / Ireland and do you in take either of your dogs Pigeon shooting ?  MM

We have our own GL system here administered by DAERA (Dept Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs)

I don't take the dogs when shooting in a net hide as their poor steadiness (my fault!) leads to complete mayhem and frustration.

Great video there Big Al. Many thanks for sharing.

Looking forward to your next season on Lough Neagh, always a great watch.

Cheers OB. The duck videos will be delayed this year as we have a horrendous dose of blue green algae on lough neagh at the moment.

That`s not good regarding the algae. Hopefully the DAERA and NIEA can get it sorted.

I know what you mean by mayhem and frustration , but looking at your two lovely dogs in the stone built hide , which somehow I feel I have been in it myself after watching several of your excellent videos I am surprised you dont take at least one even if you have to build a hide out of four inch blockwork  , Good luck for this coming new wildfowling season .:drinks:
