I saw one of those wheeler dealer programs where they were getting older eastern bloc cars. 
 

they sent the shoes off to a company who relined them (I can’t recall the cost but it wasn’t a lot)

The only other option is to take the hub off and see if you can grab a part number from the shoes. 
I find gsf and even opioils very helpful when looking with just part numbers. 
they will probably be able to tell you the origin to within a few models

This has always been a problem with kit cars. Even the "good" ones are such a mixture of odd parts from who knows where. Identifying them is a real challenge.

My mate was a fan of two seater open topped kit cars and had several over the years but spent most of his time sorting out problems like the one in the OP
