nilly71
Hi all I am new to this forum, not been shooting for about 15 years. Had a pump up air rifle, can't remember the make and a Webley Tempest. So to get to know you better i thought i would ask who's been shooting the longest? and do you still shoot with your original guns? Fisherman Mike
Nilly I am 46 in october and was given my first gun, a BSA airsporter Mk 1 at 13. Before that I used my Grandfathers Webley original since the age of 10 when my Dad took me to a rifle club. I still have the BSA and My Dad uses it regularly to clean up the Pigeons on his vegetable patch at home. I have replaced the spring and piston seals about 5 times and overhauled the loading tap and trigger sears once and the gun is still going strong. It brings back so many happy memories for me and I think is the finest Air rifle of its type ever marketed. FM.
Browning
1 year and 5 days behind FM. I had my first gun for my 10th birthday, a Webley & Scott Bolt Action .410, it was second hand when my dad bought it, still got it and still use it. remytherussell
58 last Jan..........and getting married (again) in August. First recollection is mmmmmm (deep thoughts), ah yes, dads 410, shooting rooks out of next doors elms. Have used various 12G,s. Currently Beretta Silver Pigeon III. Not many have used this one, a Greener Humane Killer. Had a brass bell shaped end, screw on firing pin, used to hit it with a piece of wood to fire. Thats was when we had the knackers yard. Also .32 pistol of some sort for horses. A Brno 8 shot .22 for killing pigs on swine fever clearance. Oh the good old days. RHR
ernyha
:( Where's ern when you need him :yp: Its the afternoon Red and he' s having a lie down! Who woke me up? The first gun i actually owned was an Original break barrel .177, followed by a Meteor .22 in 1959. My first shotgun was a brand new Webley & Scott .410 which my mates bought me for my 21st birthday and which i still own to this day. It must have fired at least 150 shots by now and most of them have been in the last couple of years. Can i get back to my siesta now? red_stag88
Aled, perhapse ern has more than one shotgun? After all, he is in love with his beretta. Oh, and if you want to wow people with numbers, I've shot about 300 in the past three weeks. And i figured out that in a space of ten weeks I get through about 750 .22 rounds. lurcherboy
I am 42 now. I have been shooting since 1835 and have yet to run out of ammo for my nuclear laser guided pea shooter. Done about 81 billion peas or there abouts. Hope this helps. LB :yp:
