shawn9914
Had my heart set on a weihrauch hw66 in 17 hmr but I'm now also considering a Anshultz 1517 and a Sako finfire 2 What are people's thoughts on these 3 rifles. What are the triggers like, I have a HW100 air rifle and the trigger is superb. My old cz in 22LR was a shockingly bad trigger so clunky which has totally put me of CZ rifles now Edited December 16, 2023 by shawn9914
wymberley
You can't go wrong with either of the first two - both triggers are exceptional. Having had one in 22Hornet flavour, provided you're not going to be wandering about with it - more plonk it down and shoot - have a look at the Weihrauch JM. Most stable small bore I have ever shot. Stuarta
I have the 15/17 and I find the trigger great, if you try one you will likely buy it they are that good. I also had a Bruno/CZ and for the price I paid it was a good buy but having put rounds through the Anchultz I would not want to go back to that trigger
oowee
I had a HW66 short barrel very handy and accurate but I had a number of cases stuck in the chamber. At night these were very hard to clear. New extractor claw and cleaning helped but still not great. The mag also chafed some rounds when loaded at night. Nothing noticed on shooting but when unloaded the next day they were clearly marked. Probably my fault trying to be quick at night. The small mag was not helpful. Changed it for a t1x trigger not as good but works well enough. It has a better receiver for mounting rails for nv and the plastic stock is robust. The mag is ten shot so good for clearance work. ShootingEgg
I have the 1517 and it's a cracking setup. Only ever miss if I mess up.. love the rifle. But then it's really personal choice too.
Zoli 12 guage
my Hummer is a HW60J with a (i think) 20" varmint barrel and it has the best 2 stage trigger of any gun i own. i believe they are match grade. it doesn't like Winchester for some reason but is excellent with Hornady v-vax. Lone wolf 2LI
I have a tikka t1x 16" barrel and it has been absolutely fantastic over the last year and has counted for hundreds of rabbits in it's short time, it's my go to rifle and has never let me down, not ammo fussy at all and being from the tikka stable it's well built .
