Can anyone id this connector?

Recommended Posts

Part of a 12v bathroom light system and I need to replace it. It's not the similar looking L6.2-2P connector, as the body is only 10mm wide and the distance between the terminal centres is about 5mm, not 6.2mm. Anyone know what it is, or where I can find one?

Cheers.

Picture's gone a bit pants. It's not this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264094937756

Though it does look quite like it. Clip is on the side not on the top like the ebay one...

They are available from model shops and known as a Tamiya connector, there are two sizes and the smaller one is called a " mini Tamiya" connector. The mini is also used in the Airsoft industry but the polarity is reversed compared to the model trade, the larger is used on Oxford motorcycle battery chargers again with reversed polarity.

Ah, that looks very close, thank you. Though I think mine has one square and one u shaped terminal, that one seems to have 2 u shaped. Hmm, will go and measure mine again. 🤔

The CAD model looks like this:

Cheers. I'm not at home at the moment and blurry photos are all I have to go on, but I think the top pin of mine has a square profile, and the bottom pin is U shaped, as in the cad pic. Might be able to make it fit though

Alternatively I could just cut the connector off and stick the bare wires in! That would be simpler.
