oldypigeonpopper
Hello, Not with the Parker brand but my small inverter welder has been a good buy and done a lot of welding jobs on the farm, With a Parker it should be ideal and 3 Year Warranty, also depends what size welder you need, how many Amps, mine is a 140 amp but i only use maximum 10 swg or 3.25 mm, nothing to loose if you buy one with the warranty Edited May 23 by oldypigeonpopper
oldypigeonpopper
Hello, i just had a look at the Lidl Inverter welder and for £50 seems a good deal and 3 Year warranty, Max 120 amp, not sure on low amps but it should be ideal for anyone wanting to do some welding jobs, Home or Farm, Although those from R Tech would also get my approval ,Oh Lidl have some Auto welding masks, £25, cheers Edited May 28 by oldypigeonpopper

Hello, Well done, i could not see in the box but these welders usually have a tinny earth clamp, i changed mine to a better one for £5 , let us know how you get on with the welder and Mask, 👍 Edited May 28 by oldypigeonpopper
Dave-G
I bought a different brand one a few months ago and found it so much better than the old bulky and heavy transformer one I had. It had more features than this one such as hot start - which I don't see on the advert.
wisdom
Reporting back. I have to admit it is brilliant.Garage breaker didn't trip which it always did frequently with the old welder.Very smooth runs and so light to carry.I have an automatic mask but to be fair the one with it isn't fantastic but I did try it and it was fine. I tried a variety of rods and it coped fine with good penetration, smooth neat runs as I said it was really good ,and for the money it was really good value. No frills but for what I want it's perfect. Hello, Well done 👍, The extra 20 amps on mine helps using 3.25 mm rods but less amps can be more user friendly Edited August 23 by oldypigeonpopper

udderlyoffroad
Suspect you won’t find an economic source of high end rods like that in small quantities; but happy to be proven wrong! That said, ask a proper local welding supplier what they stock will usually get you the good stuff without having to buy multiple kg of the stuff Edited August 23 by udderlyoffroad
