ShaggyRS6
Hola, Does anyone know if there are any Rifle Ranges in Kent where I can take my HMR? The closer to the Medway Twons the better
dunganick
not for hmr that i know of, there are a number of little rifle clubs with .22 ranges, but none that are cleared for 22mag or 17HMR, if you want a .22 club there is on in tunbridge wells. There is also a full bore club in dartford i think? However bisley is really your best bet, might be a bit of a drive, but its worth it. ShaggyRS6
How does Bisley work? Can I just turn up tomorrow and shoot? I have a day off
Oly
17HMR isn't the best for the range, as up to 50yds are only generally cert'd for .22rf and any further (i.e. 100yd+) is generally fullbore territory only.
ShaggyRS6
So you cant shoot 17HMR at Bis?
Oly
Pretty sure you will be able to.
Mungler
I am booking a day in with MartinCavie for a day on the ranges at Bisley and to give the Steyr a good walloping. I think we are looking at 9th December. I wouldn't mind having a go on an HMR. If you let me play with yours, you can play with mine. dunganick
cant do 9th or i would tag along yes you need to phone bisley, and can book through the basc as they are affiliated you would want the 100 yard range for the HMR (short siberia) its not alot of money for a half day, even cheaper now its winter. AndyCM
Yep, worth using the Shoot-NC targets too if you are spotting yourself. Otherwise a mate & walkie talkies

fortune
A few years ago a friend took me to a range near Faversham. It was right next to the A2 on the left going east. The range was well hidden and it had a small entrance track. I can’t remember exactly where it was or what it was called but there were air rifle/pistol ranges right up to center fire and muzzleloaders. It was a small area and the butts for the range was a sort of small chalk cliff. Another time another friend took me to Bisley and on the range next to us they were shooting field target with .22 rf type weapons. Crow >squirrel> fox and rabbit silhouette. Those boys sure did spray a lot of lead up range. Again because we were on a different range, I don’t know what club or organization it was shooting there. I’m sure that there are opportunities for places for you to go, it’s just locating them
spoole76
Hi Lee Have you installed the tuned trigger yet ? If not, I think that will make a huge difference as the standard one required a lot of pressure. Steve
