Cracking photos Dave, and well done 👍.

My boss was a Gloucester boy born and bred, and said it never rains in Gloucester.

I had to remind him, it did rain persistently, the 12 weeks I was travelling daily back and forth to the factory in Quedgley.

He muttered a few words and walked off.

Great photo s👍. Never been before. But just mentioned it to the other half and showed your pics to my young son and seems a good chance we will be going next year. See tickets are on sale already.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it, go early to beat the traffic and take your own food to save a small fortune.

There are clean water bowsers around the site to allow you to fill up your bottles.

The traffic is the biggest bugbear, I stay within a couple of miles so don't really get any agro.

Very nice 😃 Was there only one 'chopper' at the show ?

There were quite a few "choppers" at the show, would you like some more pictures and some more helicopters?

Just picked up on this thread.

Wonderful photos Dave.

I know very little about aircraft so thanks for listing the various types and enlightening me/us.

They used to have a small air show off Herne Bay up until a few years ago. I remember watching the Vulcan in full vertical mode. Absolutely awesome.

Thanks for posting.

Superb photos Dave and now I am a little wiser in what the various aircrafts are that often come over , I remember when we had a air show a few years ago off the beach at Yarmouth , I was Pigeon shooting 3 / 4 miles inland and I was underneath there flight path , the afternoon was very entertaining , watching the aircraft whilst shooting a few Pigeons . :good:

Thanks for those extra pictures TC 😀

My 'local' airshow was Biggin Hill. Only lived a few miles away as the crow flies, so the sky was full of aircraft for a few days,,,, great memories 😃

Yes, mine too, my parents used to take me as a small boy.     Sometime in the last century.

Only ever went onto the airfield once for the airshow, great experience. There was a "chopper" stunt pilot doing the grass cutting alongside the runway 😆😃

John, I go for the week and spend about 9 hours a day with the cameras.

RIAT is known as the biggest Military Airshow in the World and pulls in some rare aircraft.
