Mungler
Okay, I was planning on doing my DSC1 in the next few months and have seen that there are a couple of places doing special offers at the moment. Anyone else interested in doing their DSC? If there were say more than 3 people then we would probably get a group booking / discount. I would plumb for the get it all done at once 3 day / long weekend residential course. I am flexible on dates but would prefer sooner rather than later - it appears to be cheaper to book on the run up to Xmas.
Mungler
Okay we have a taker from February 2008 onwards. Given that these things take organising and setting up, the proposal is for a weekend in February. Get your Xmas lists in and stick a DSC1 on there. http://www.bds.org.uk/iqs/sid.039299505511...urse_dates.html

Mungler
I thought I might learn something and have a laugh. It's a good excuse for 3 days out of the office pleasing myself away from the family. Also, I am sure there is a badge I can sew onto my swimming trunks just under the 100 m gold one. Its the residential bit I am concerned about- Blokes staying away in Hotels, their could be miscief. Or is the DSC1 just an excuse??? Mungler
Okay, the plan is sometime in Feb 2008. Obviously I think that anyone doing it in the meantime should do the right thing and pass over the notes

young airgunner
the software with the dsc1 questions on it is called "deer quest" i believe. maybe try downloading it from somewhere james
Browning
Don't you get the Deerquest CD as part of the package when you sign up for a course? I'm pretty sure it will also have changed recently to take into account the new rules that came in on 1st October.
Dunkield
You don't get it (or didn't anyway) as part of the course you had to buy it from the BDS for £20. I can't see it on their site anymore, and I beleive it was updated to include the food handling. It has never been downloadable as far as I know
