If it take 2 men 5 days to make a shed

Just an update - with a demanding job, demanding family, shortening evening light and weather that made me think I should have built an ark and not a shed - I have a bit of headway. Built a door in my space limited garage over the past few days, hinged, braced and heavy, with a mortise lock and got it hung. Made up that the hinge cut outs I done a couple of weeks ago lined up perfectly with a bit bit of fettling to the lining, and the outside (lock) was just catching the bottom so off it came again, a quick trim with the track saw and on it went again and perfect fit!!!

let the cladding begin - at the weekend!!!!

Size was dictated by the existing base. This isn’t for a workshop -lawnmower, scarifier, bikes plus stuff from garage that aren’t needed in the house. Hopefully the garage will become more of a workshop

  • 3 weeks later...

Ours was ordered in early 2020, perfect timing for the lockdown! :/ When it eventually came in sections, it took 3 men to drag them to the back garden on a dolly (small board with wheels) then cobbling it roughly together on the first day. The second day we figured out and fixed any errors we'd made during construction and soon decided we were going to fibreglass the roof rather than use the cheapo-looking felt provided.
