After going years without it ,I have now had it twice in a fortnight , for those with a one track mind it is not what you are thinking , those days are long gone , no I am talking about a very nice bit of shin I had for tonight's tea , I have to admit it was from M + S and not my doing , but I did have to follow cooking instructions and the veg was all my own work .😋  MM

PS    I did put more gravy over the veg after I took the photo.

Looks lovely. Tonight I met my niece with her cardboard rucksack. I took her to dinner at her favourite vegan restaurant (Balans). Food was absolutely carp but i said it was lovely. I left half but said I was full.  Water was nice. 🤣

Looks very nice indeed and only one picture too.

Evening Dave , Yes it was very nice and I had to force myself to leave my dog a little as he look forward to the leftovers , I added a meatball that was left over from last night and I now have far more steamed veg than chips , I don't mind oven chips or even the beer battered  ones from M + S but the ones I do always look oily and that put me off , maybe I need to change the oil I do them in , what would be the best one to use in the chip pan please

Evening Chris .. I am really showing off now , the spuds are called La Ratte and they are in the photo , bought from Waitrose , tell yer , us ole country boys live well , a very small spud and I have cut them in half , very similar to the salad spuds we grow on the estate .  MM

Good god Dougy , I forgot all about Pilchards , haven't had them for a while , very similar to Sardines and Whitebait , all the fish oil we had when we were growing up and in our younger years didn't do us a lot of harm as we also lived off Herring , Kippers and Bloaters throughout the Winter months when the Herring drifters were in town . now the kids would turn there nose up at the above and then suffer from the cold later on in life .  MM
