Lloyd90
When applying for an FAC air rifle, do you also have to apply for a moderator slot? Or does the mere fact it’s an air rifle mod mean you don’t need a slot / have it on ticket?
nige65
You will need to ask for. Moderator slot if you need to fit one. Best to ask and get one then not have one and find you need one. In my opinion. Hope this helps.

sam triple
Had FEO around yesterday , yes you have to still apply , do it now rather than pay £20 for a variation later , he also took my sgc license away ( expires 05/25) and will get both Fac and sgc running co terminus will save over £100 with doctors and renewal fees , when renewal comes around again

miki
Hopefully those that decide will see sense (IMO) and remove the requirement for licensing moderators at some time in the near future. I think there are still some that believe when you have a moderator on a rifle it goes "phut" and can't be heard from 10 feet away.

The home Office has finally acknowledged that putting moderators on certificates is no longer necessary and that not everyone who has one is a "Day of the Jackal wannabe." How long it will take to officially remove them from certification is anyone's guess.
