Back to living off the land tonight , bought this little joint Sunday for about £1.70 and all the veg were nice and fresh , Charlotte spuds , Celery , Parsnips , Carrots , English Sprouts and Cauliflower, overdone the amount on the plate but having a Lab you have never got to worry about wasting anything ☺️

Something about Charlotte potato's, love them but not seen any in the supermarkets. I love shoulder pork, used to have what we called hand of pork years ago in the butchers, chuck in the oven with parsnips and spuds, 4 pints and a few games of darts and it was cooked when i got back in.

it was stringy because you are supposed to take the string off before eating it :whistling:

Well I never , I thought the string was edible Simon , I could have gone on a shoot today but I couldn't go as I was tied up .

We are now back on the happy hour  .:drinks:    MM

10 / 10 for a man from the Southern regions to spot Bobs spelling mistake , as for those from across the border , they need to pay more attention at the back  , only joking , I first met the Scotch fishermen when they came down to ours during the Herring fishing days in the 60s and 70s , and I once had a holiday in the Highlands several years ago , the ones I met were the salt of the earth and dare I say it ,they were more friendlier than the ole Norfolk boys , now the ole original boys are a declining race and in this modern age are unlikely to be repeated  . :good:
