Beretta 686 S 12b

Recommended Posts

Ever wondered if the rumours are true, that older berettas are better made than a modern one?
Here’s your chance to find out!

I present for sale a beautiful 1990 vintage 686 special 12 bore sporter.

28” barrels and a 14 3/4”lop plus a pile of chokes, inc. a couple of extended Briley for extra bling.

The gun is in good used condition, covered in age related marks collected over its 34 years of honest use but nothing that detracts from the gun.

The bluing on the barrels is good overall there are small marks here and there, no dents or bulges or anything nasty.

The rib is straight and true and dent free.

lock up is tight and crisp, look at that top lever position!

it’s a cracking gun for game or clays.

Im a Browning man at heart I’ve thoroughly enjoyed shooting this gun for the past couple of years but have just bought a 525

so rather than let this fantastic specimen lay unused, it’s time to find an new keeper.

The gun is located in Huddersfield

The price is £550 for a classic Beretta

more pics available via WhatsApp, happy to meet at a clay ground so you can try before you buy.

cheers Dave.

I’m not a Beretta OU fan, but have quite a few years of experience of the 686 range, in fact my first ever competitive shotgun was a fixed choke 686S, and in my opinion the older models are much better made and better value for money than their modern equivalents. Just my opinion.
Very nice gun, complete with around at least 100 quids worth of chokes. Good luck with the sale.

Dave if I did not have one I’d be on my way to Huddersfield. Looks like yours has not done a huge amount! Just about a full parts catalogue available in the unlikely event that something did go wrong.

mine heading out on pest control duties this afternoon

Ive been using a 30" Gold E sporter for a year or so now. I've got on with it well and fail to see the attraction for a new Beretta equivalent currently. With such second hand bargains about currently, there's lots to enjoy.

And to keep this on topic, id have been interested in this gun if it were left handed myself. Ive one of these in r/h that my lady or occasional newbie may use and its a nice well built gun.
