on a tangent ....i have read that the North Koreans are having a wonderful time on the front in Ukraine ..where they are revelling in unfetted access to the internet and are experiencing the joys of free porn .....

it has been reported that they are phyisically knocking themselves out in the trenches pulling one or 2 out now and again.......

It pays to be carefull with radio messages (the old 'send three and fourpence')...but for a burst of static the Russians would have found out that it was crack one off troops they were being offered 😇

I saw what was purported to be a NK soldier uncontrollably shaking in a dugout. Looks to be severe brain damage.

Hm good point, I guess mediate, discuss, look for compromise, arrange terms for peace. Got to be better than the old man politician willy waving stance  from all sides which will end in innocent blood

I get what you are saying, but world leaders were queuing up to appease and try and convince Putin not to invade Ukraine but he ignored them and did it anyway. If there had been a stronger response when Russia occupied Crimea in 2014 were might not be having this discussion.

Classic strawman argument, ignore everything else as irrelevant but the facts that suit your point of view

War will end when Ukraine negotiates a surrender or is beaten completely.

Ignore what facts? Everything being discussed happen after Russia invaded Ukraine, there would be no war if Russia had not invaded and there would be no war if Russia pulled out. Of course there are other complex issues, but stripped back, the reason there is a war, is due to a Russian invasion.

Aye that's an if, threats, sanctions and a proxy war haven't worked, is upping the ante going to solve it or make it worse

It's not a proxy war, America the UK and others give Ukraine security garentees when they give up their nuclear weapons. Now is the time to honor those garentees

Those sanctions are biting hard. Rouble at 1 cent, inflation at 27%, stagflation, no mortgages, labour shortages, wage inflation spiral. Putin has few options available. Russia has two.

Why are we not banning Oligarch kids from the UK? Seizing residential assets? Banning travel, into or through the UK?

Not seeing how either option will actually stop a war, given that putin would rather his population starved or burnt than concede victory. I guess compromise but how do you reach a compromise with an aggressor

I think that could end up very badly. If Putin goes, what guarantee do we have that his successor will be more reasonable?

Got to be honest - banning Russians or their kids from UK travel made me smile. We happily let terrorists, rapists, gangsters and murderers in, but not Russians.

Who will die first Kadyrov or Putin? There are plenty of unhappy Oligarchs that would want him out the way.

Perhaps Russia is due a revolution

I think so. The Wild Berries dispute is a close run thing.
