Tried something different tonight  ( Jerk Chicken ), although the main item was again Chicken , bought it Sunday and as it wasn't a lot of money I thought I would give it a go , put it in the oven for 40 minutes and apart from making me sweat a little it wasn't that bad , done enough for me and my dog and needless to say he again cleaned every morsel off the plate .

My that chicken has a good tan, Glad you enjoyed it.  :good:

I think it had been in the Caribbean sunshine for a while , a bit to hot for my liking still you know I am a bargain seeker and I don't mind giving it a try if it is reduced , no Chicken tomorrow night , I have got a couple of packets of sliced beef and scotch eggs to use up before the dates run out .

You're certainly loving your chicken dinners MM 😀 Did you put the oven afterburners on tonight 😳😆

The Chicken was pre cooked when I bought it , you could have it hot or cold and all I done was warmed it up , it was the sauce or whatever was on it that made it look burnt , it was nowhere near burnt but the spices certainly made me sweat a bit . another that is on the not to often list

I love jerk chicken . That meal looks spot on 👍.

THANKS Mel .. I have had it before at the Game Fairs and the last time was at a food fair in the centre of Norwich , these were done on a B B Q and were cooked to perfection and were very nice , mine was pre cooked I bought from Waitrose that were reduced , they made a nice tea but were not on the same level as the ones we had in the past , still not a thing was wasted apart from the bones . Happy New Year.      MM

Happy New Year .   MM

What have you got planned for this evenings meal then MM?

Would it be chicken based?

No there wouldn't be any Chicken meat in sight , I have got a few bits in the fridge I want to use up before I start taking odd bits out of the freezer , by the way , the wind have dropped a bit and the rain is now down to a drizzle so as it is mild I am now going to have a look down the marsh , any more heavy rain and I will be straight back to the starting blocks

Just got back and didn't see a single Chicken although I was near the bypass and in bright lights I did see the sign that had K F C , so do that count  , didn't take my gun tonight as I took a short cut through the industrial sight , it kept dry but I found it a bit chilly ,   MM

My daughter makes jerk marinade for me from scratch . She marinades the chicken , and then my son cooks it for me in his bbq smoker . The last batch was for my birthday in August,  and I still have some in the freezer , along with curry goat that she made for me( my very favourite curry).

Happy new year MM.  Long may your culinary adventures continue 👍.
