mr lee
I won't post the pics, incase most of you are still having lunch. Warning it is grim. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml...03/wface103.xml 'A Jehovah's Witness who for decades refused all surgery on his horrific facial disfigurement has been given hope by a British doctor and new medical technology. Unwilling to accept a blood transfusion, Jose Mestre has allowed the bloody tumour that first appeared on his lip in adolescence to obliterate almost all of his face. Now 15 inches long and weighing 12 pounds, it has blinded him in one eye and made eating a daily ordeal. As it begins to block his airwaves, doctors fear his life could be in danger. NorfolkBoy
In some respects you have to admire the man for standing by his religous convictions but then again......
Mungler
Yes indeed, you have to admire anyone with any religious convictions especially if you believe Richard Dawkins is right.

Axe
This is nuts, to punish yourself that much through a belief is rediculous!

tulkyuk
The man is an idiot , he wont have surgary because of his religion- basicly he belives a story that has been told through a book (the bible) - if thats the case we may as well all worship winnie the pooh
Mungler
Problem is, religious texts don't take account of "progress". You go back to the year 0 and try and explain half of what we take for granted today (the elements, atomic structure, DNA, bacteria, evolution, carbon dating etc.... and with blood transfusions and organ transplants being way down on that list anyway) and you would get rolled up in a carpet and burnt alive for being a heretic. sidibear
I*** (I'm afraid to type the word) is reported to be the fastest growing religion. Only because they are the fastest breeding I think Mungler summed it up nicely.
Cranfield
Perhaps the alternative was going into the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford for the operation. I would let that thing grow, rather than go into that hell hole again.
Mungler
Indeed, if the growth was uniform and on his old boy he would be laughing and looking at a gainful employment in the pron industry. Alas, it isn't and he's not - well he could be laughing but who would know eh? Perhaps he would have to write it down.

J@mes
Maybe he's under the impression that when he dies he will get 72 virgins too, so he isnt really bothered about getting his end wet in this life?
LEFTY478
Religious belief? Narcissism more like: he's getting off on the rest of his cult admiring his stoicism. Surely he will be one of Jehovah's chosen 144,000 to ascend to heaven. Good luck, munter face.
