Well the last few mornings my motor has looked like its been sprayed with thick Hoar frost, its been so bad that twice ived had to have a ***** tow from mates whose cars have been garaged overnight,I have replaced my Battery with a heavy duty no, and have just been out and managed to get the***** started, its so cold _ 4deg!..........I have just staggered into the house to put my hands in the freezer to warm them up a bit.Can you imagine how bad these frosts would be if it werent for global WARMING!? :P:oops::P

When your used to working in freezers of -18 to -24 you soon get used to the MILD winters we have

If the car won't start leave it at home and buy a pair of ice skates :good:

:good:

The last bad snow we had in these ere parts was some 35 years ago, I can remember trudging to school in 3ft of snow.

People could drive in those days as well.

None of the really bad accidents you get these days

I know there are more cars but the ratio of cars to bad drivers has gone up big time.

Cat will tell you ( I am waaaay to young to remember  ) pigeons dying in the trees, the Thames froze, properly froze, that winter you could walk from one side to the other - THAT is cold.

Do you have a cat older than you? :good:

Yep it is true the schools all stayed open as well because nearly all of the teachers lived in the same village as the schools.

If it was like when I was a boy 35 years ago, this country would have ground to a hault by now.
