Paul in North Lincs.
nice work .........................I only hope you didn't just take a snap shot with a 6.5 28g.................
al4x
nice work .........................I only hope you didn't just take a snap shot with a 6.5 28g................. and why not? at the right range its as lethal as anything, I'd hazard a guess that more foxes fall to 6's than any other cartridge with shotguns, purely as so many get shot on driven game days. I know I've shot a fair few personally but most at sub 20 yards, you simply don't get chance to change cartridges and you get a very upset keeper if you leave the shot. strudwick
Hi, my friend Steve shot it with a no6 32gr about 20 yards dropped it dead (did not mean to cores such a debate) don’t worry it was a clean kill.
Whitebridges
Great Strudwick. That's one less. At 20 yards 32g of 6ish shot will kill 'em stone dead if you can hit 'em in the right place. When we go looking for them with a shotty we use Hull Ultramax 42g BB with a bit of choke.
