Looks like a lot of damage there to the squirrel for that range, good stuff.

Theres nothing like a crispy cold morning out with the airgun after squirrels.

To this day, I explain to every new shooter, you will be a better shot by using an airgun often, even if you go to firearms. I get a bit out of shape with the shotgun or rifle. The air rilfe teaches you stealth, and making that one shot count, as we all know, most airguns will not provide a quick second shot.

Airguns have tought me to free hand shoot, I have had some great shots in the field with the firearms that were down to a lot of practice with the airgun. Once a week I got to a shooting club, and have a session on the 10m targets. Its not the range that matters, its learning breath control, stance, etc. :good:

Anyway im going on a bit now,

Keep it up, do add them to the PW tally

Yep, get used to it. My permision stinks. Its SO FULL of Fallow Deer that I can stalk anything else as they start walking through the woods and scare everything off. I have regulary counted more then 20 Deer on my permision (also my home), but I do not currently have a stalking rifle. (applying shortly).

Dont get me wrong, target shooting is good for your hunting skills, but if like me you are a hunter rather then hole puncher, it will get boring, and pres your patiance a bit sometimes. But stick with it, it really makes a difference in the field, and it can be nice to meet other shooters in a club for a natter. Its anice way to get out of home for a bit. My local has an outdoor prone 50-100m range, which I use for zeroing my .22lr

For an average of £1 per visit, I certainly wont complain.
