ROBLATCH
Not disagreeing with anyone here, but I'm not convinced we should be able to edit a sales post in ANY way. Some of us go back to ammend the price if we lower it or change the price if we sell it; this COULD allow us to change the description of what was on sale after someone has viewed it and decided to buy it. i think the point that is trying to be made is that when an article for sale is lissted and the topic starter gets no reply,s they decide to reply by adding to the post and not editing to bring the topic back to the top of the page (new posts) well this is the way i pick it up. rarms
Just post it on the BBS, will sell much quicker (bigger audience), and you can bump and then delete the previous bump post if you need to bump it again.

When an item is SOLD is imo the only time a post should be edited, that way it doesnt get back up to the top of the page again which inturn pushes the newer topics offpage quicker, I agree that bumping is annoying. As a matter of interest how long is a "decent" period before an item can be readvertised? D2D

The Great Cornholio
Just an idea... How about categorizing the for sale thread! Shotguns. Shotgun accessories. rifles. rifle accessories. Air rifles. Air rifle accessories. Vehicles. Dogs. etc etc etc. "But what about multiple sales" I hear you cry. Well... list them separately or list all items in every category where at least one item belongs. This would make it easier to find what you looking for & hopefully stop the need to bump Items More work for the Moderators but maybe time saving in the long run

There may well be an opportunity for someone to start a Sales/Wanted website (charging commissions) along these lines.
