Guest Mr Pieman
I have a shiny Land Rover 90, with electric windows and air con!! I use it for work and play - it has mud terrain tyres fitted and goes just about anywhere. Currently getting around 30 to the gallon - although I don't rush anywhere!!! I also have a Suzuki SJ413 soft top. Again, it has mud tyres and goes anywhere. Its petrol and seems to run forever on a tank of fuel. Although 11 years old, the bodywork is rust free!! It smokes a little, but pulls like a demon. For sale if anyone is interested!!
AdamC
Just worked it out and I get about 32MPG out my HRV, but that is about 75% short trips of less than 10 minutes. As mentioned though, it as all about how you drive it. I can get over 330 out of a tank (£45), but have been one forums where users struggle to het into the 200's. I found my driving style calmed right down when we got the dog and I didnt want him to be slung around in the back.
Wookie
I found my driving style calmed right down when I had to drive 70 miles each way to work... There are enough idiots out there already without me adding another to the total. As for on-road driving, I tend to trawl along at about 65 in the Fronty, hence the decent mileage. I set off it good time and it's quiet, relaxing and I know that I can go faster if required.
Cushat
Isuzu Trooper commercial - get high tweties to the gallon, but it's got mud terrains on it. In reply to someone who posted earlier in the thread about landrovers - the basic cost put me off! I looked around and £5k buys you some pretty old or rough vehicles, but the same money buys you something japanese which is much newer and more reliable! OldBill
Hi I drive a Shogun Sport 2.5td about 26 on a long run not good round town. But I love her and that will do for me! I asked Mitsubishi if she will run on biofuels! They were non forth coming with an answer. Kind regards Andy. Hello matey. The engine in yours should be the 4D56 (same as a MkII Pajero). It is widely renowned as being one of the best around for biofuel inc SVO. See here

Suffolk shooter
I have a Landrober 90 with 3.0l v6 conversion. Probably lucky to reach 20mpg. Ah, you have a baby 90. I have the Daddy, 3.5L V8 PETROL. SS Isn't it SORN because it costs £300 to move it off the drive and back again? Never a truer word spoken in Jest Pin. It is indeed SORN due to the fact that it costs approx £70-80 to fill it up for 180-220miles to a tank. Damn nice to drive and just to sit there and rev the engine and feel the whole cab rock with thte torque. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!! Thought about converting to LPG or at least diesel but it just wouldn't be the same. HAve used it offroading, greenlaning, camping, fishing, shooting, just mooching around, but now we have two kids and moved house, I just can't afford to get it back on the road to run SS
