Well i have finally sorted out my computer and have downloaded the pictures from a fantastic trip pike fishing me and Pavman had just after Christmas.

Pav managed to get a secret, private broad to fish on so we had all the fishing to ourselves including a boat and motor. This was my first proper pike fishing trip from a boat, and it was a favour for a favour, which i hope can be continued especially now since going im addicted to pike fishing and have spent 100's on fishing equipment.

Anyway we set off early, deadbaiting using mackeral halfs/smelts/eels/sardines etc. Was a glorious day and we saw sooo much wildlife, including 100's of geese and wildfowl. Along with a heron which followed us around the broad all day.

We started the day with a filling breakfast prepared by his partner and finished with a filling tea of game pie.

I sadly didnt catch anything all day, but pav managed to bring in the 8lb pike, was just a great experience to get back out on the water seeing as shooting has taken up most of my time recently.

Many thanks Pavman

Alex

I think that is why i enjoy Fishing so much, it isnt always about catching a nice size fish (well you have to convince yourself of this sometimes) but enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside and the wildlife which surrounds you.

I keep saying i fancy a bit of Pike fishing but just aint got off my backside yet to do some..

Glad you enjoyed yourself the pics look really good

Cheers
