Bagsy
The day started quite badly today - firstly we were all stranded 30 yards from the shoot at Copfurn as a motorcyclist had a collision with a car near the entrance. We initially parked by the side of the road and walked through the woods but not wanting to upset the Essex Rozza too much we duly followed MC on a diversion and managed to park in the ground. Let's hope the rider is OK. Next more bad news, Mungler had to rush his son into hospital, we have since heard he's ok but we we were all concerned for him, hope he's Ok Mung. Finally we met up with Martincavie, Tosspot, Markio, Mr Digweed, LV and Evil Elvis, re-grouped and started to shoot finishing bang on the deadline. EE will be along with the scores shortly but the good news is LV didn't win the hat (I've never seen him move so fast as when he passed it on ). Good shooting with you chaps, looking forward to seeing you all at the Bucks v Essex shoot in two weeks Edited February 3, 2008 by Bagsy

SO come on which one, my monies on Markio, hope there was some piccies taken. MC how did you get on with your homeloads, saw the pics on PW MkII, looked good. SS PS, Mung hope your nipper's ok
paulos
Shot some registered skeet today and did mostly pap! Finished on a straight though so at least I can go into next weeks game with some confidence. Shot a 50 bird sporting on the way home too and finished that on a 45. So overall happy Ps. Hope your lads ok mungler, nothing too serious I hope.

Markio
Well i've just enjoyed a rather manly and heterosexual rib eye steak and chips. Later on a will be ******** my wife in a very heterosexual manner. Well yes, i lost and by a rather large margin. I didn't ever feel like i was doing very well but to be hoenst if i had of scored 10 more kills i would have felt like i'd done a decent job but still lost! . So my point being that i think we should concentrate on the winners of today, no pictures needed, just quiet contemplation and reflection. P.S. Really enjoyed the day (most of it!), great laugh but ******* cold. Thanks all, looking forward to the Essex v Bucks shoot. Good man Markio, came on and admitted you had a stinker Next time can I suggest the Mungler 'ol favorite of it was so windy that the pubic hair on the end of my barrel kept putting me off, or the traditional Essex mafia quote of "I was on an all night bender and have a hangover" So what did MC's homeloads go like?? Markio
I thought it was a really good course, some hitting and also missable, would definitely shoot that again if i'm welcome. Bagsy shot a 67 ex 80 which was bloody excellent! Very impressive. Nothing wrong with MC's home loads. They went bang and stuff broke. Suffolk shooter
Nothing wrong with MC's home loads. They went bang and stuff broke. Glad about that, I'm interested in giving it a try myself but for wildfowling purposes. Not cheap to do clay loads as opposed to Non-toxic or unusal loads. Sorry for derailing thread. wanderer
Went and had a shoot at Garlands in Tamworth for the first time yesterday. In keeping with some advice I received, I'm focussing mainly on skeet as the shots presented are pretty repeatable (good for a beginner I'm told.) I've not really enjoyed skeet as much as sporting in the past, but need to "get my eye in" on some fairly consistent birds. Anywho, I walked up to the skeet bit and a couple were just about to start shooting - they kindly asked me to join them so I did. I shot a pretty poor round (even for me) of 7 ex 25 though put a couple of faults right under their guidance (cheers Doug & Judy) They went off for a coffee and I stayed for another round on my own. What do you know, 16 ex 25 and my best ever round on any type of clay!!! Joined the guys for a coffee then went back for a third round of skeet and shot 9 ex 25... About my average. Had a bit of a blast on the compact sporting after that but the less said the better I think! I quite enjoyed Garlands as a whole so I'll be going back. MC
SS, My homeloads were fine, there was no difference between them and the World cup that I normally use. I just need some supplies. TP, what a mare of a journey home. Still glad you got there ok. EE, Sorry mate by my reckoning you came 5th, I came 3rd and TP was 4th. Still at least you didn't end up with the hat. That is a good enough reason for anyone to up their game. Mungler has PM'd me and Baby James is OK All in All a good day out and Bagsy shot exceptionally well, well done mate. It did cost him a round of teas though. See you all in a fortnight at Drayton Parslow for a Buck's kicking contest. Get that photo posted as well, Markio doesn't need any make up he looked camp enough as it was.
Mungler
Shame I couldn't be there to make you all my clay slaves. Obviously I get used to beating Bagsy, Diggers, LV and EE and adding a few more names to the list would have been nice Nipper is on the mend - scared the living poop out of me though - he slipped on some Ribena on the kitchen floor and landed face first but didn't put a hand out. Eyes went round the back of his head, he stopped breathing, the colour drained from his face and his lips went blue and then he went unconscious. He's only 1 1/2 years old I thought we was a gonner. His GP lives smack opposite me (first place I ran) but she was out. Dialled 999 and they were there in 9 minutes and gave me directions on what to do (or rather more to calm down) as the ambulance got there. Anyways, we got taken to Basildon A&E (Bazzer's manner) and they were fantastic. He is now doing well and has bounced back and fingers crossed out sometime tomorrow. Proper full on brown trousers moment like no other.
Suffolk shooter
Been there with our eldest when she was of similar age, all sense goes out the window at times like that. Glad things are ok. All the best. SS

I have been round the in-laws this afternoon for dinner and a few bottles of wine and I have just about warmed up now - it was ******* freezing this morning !! Evil Elvis
Sorry this took so long guys, just been laying on the sofa in agony, stomach cramps like you would not believe...worse pain since i had gallstones........not totally gone but very strong painkillers working to take the edge off. Anyway, Martin you are right, I was 5th, which was not last at least!, bloody disappointed tbh, 2 stands let me down or visa versa otherwise could have been a new pb for there, felt i shot well but still disappointed....funny old game, great to see you, tosspot and markio again...given me the reloading bug too.
