LEFTY478
I've just been outside by the Railway at work and have noticed the fresh 4" - 5" high nettle growth. This is February, isn't it? Then I was 'buzzed' by a Red Admiral!
pin
Columbus Palumbus is calling like a good'un round my way, very mild winds etc. Lad at work who is interested in the weather far more than is healthy says it's due to predominantly warmer winds from sub saharan Africa and the middle east. Ferret Master
Walked around in just a shirt today. It's put me in a foul mood actually as it's probably spelled the end of my ferreting season. And as the weather warms up it means several things to me: Hayfever, biting insects, hot sleepless nights, nettles and no ferreting. ShaggyRS6
Its lovely mate. It will be nice all weekend probably upto Wednesday, although the wind starts to move round to an easterly early next week. Could bring some cold weather. Dean k
Glad the weekend is going to be nice, taking some friends who don't normally shoot out into the woods to get some pigeon shooting in!! If the first time they go out is nice and warm, hopefully they will be back for more fun and have a new hobby?? Enjoy the weekend folks, Dean Edited February 8, 2008 by Dean k

vole
If it stays mild then I anticipate the trout and grayling may be more ready to take a fly early season.Only a month away.
