Happened to me one. I was in charge of delivering the bad news and the paperwork. One of the most stressful times I have had in practice. bob300w
i have been there mate , a coach building firm i worked for went down the pan , but things do get better in the long run ... keep ur chin up mate It's true what roadkill says, although it does not seem so at the moment. When I was in this position 6 years ago I would not have believed it either, but things will get better, you will probably get a better job with a better company, I did. Dr W
Christ, no where near as bad as yours. I was gutted that my car sale had fallen through, that the weather was rubbish this weekend when i had made plans to do things and that I'm under a bit of pressure to approve some accounts for the printers this afternoon which I've yet to start. In fact why am I on PW when I've got loads of things that need doing. Sorry to hear about the job and hope you manage to find something else very soon. No sales and a monthly burn rate of £300k to £400k.

starlight32
It is a hard time for all, good friend of mine declared bankruptcy on wednesday, no one is likely to end up out of pocket as he is selling his family home to suffice. Don't you just hate it when you hear people say -'Guess what so and so has just gone down the pan' This mate of mine has worked his backside off for six years trying to make a go of it and I really wished to see him succeed. it is such a shame as when you are in business it is normally your pure goal to be a success and if failure falls upon you it can be so difficult to accept. al4x
It amazes me some people in business, my brother in laws employer has no idea about running a business. She shut up shop when she still had enough money to pay everyone and called in an Insolvency practicioner. I wanted to go round and shake her by the neck it's unbelievable. They will now milk all the assets remaining from the company and it will cost her thousands as the company had plenty of assets they'll be able to sell. Every time we have a customer go bust on us it amazes me when you get the list of charges to sort the books out and somehow it seems like the Insolvency people have a bill that just manages to swallo every bit of last cash in the company. Mrs Sweepy
well my friday was ok . but i think next week i could be in trouble . i work with teenaged boys age 12 to 19. and today i found their hidden stash of porn mags. . now one of my jobs is if i find anything that they should not have on them is to confiscate it. so i just had to do my job . now what do you think are my chances of getting few next week .without something nastry happening to me . one of their favourite punishments is turning the shower on you or locking you in a room . so by the end of next week i could be feathered and tared. and have a nervous twitch. xxxxsuzy
