huey
Had my ticket approved for a 22lr and have decided to plumb for the CZ in 16" barrel. I have had a Sako and a SAK silencer recommended can anyone tell me what they think is my best option is for a silencer for hunting purposes? Thanks Huey
Dunkield
SAK Short and effective, no point in having the short barrel and then sticking a Parker Hale on it IMHO

Wookie
Sak. Best build quality for the money, nice weight and effective too
huey
All sounds good for a SaK. Have any of you heard or come across the SAKO and can rate it??
Baldrick
Another vote for SAK. Pretty hard to beat for the money.
silver_fox
I've got a Sako mod on my 452 16" .22LR and as it's the only rimfire mod I've used I can't make a comparison, but it's very quiet with subsonic rounds. Quieter than a spring powered air rifle and I am more than happy with it.
mr lee
I have an Parker Hale mod on mine as it came with the sale. The noise is comparable to that of an air rifle in general. I have used an SAK of my mates on the same rifle and that too is equally as quiet. Just a slightly different tone when shot. Ones £30 (SAK) the parker hale goes for anywhere from £35 - 45 dependant on where you buy. Both work. One is short and stumpy and the other longer and skinny. (sounds a bit like my shooting mate and me... )
gavaroo
I bought a Parker Hale for mine (cause it was £10 cheaper) and although it does the job just fine, I wish I had bought the SAK. As stuartp said, there is no point in getting a short barrel and then fitting a long silencer. Gav.
tweedledee
i use parker hale too.im sure there is little difference in the two though the sak will be shorter.
sunshinedave
Another vote for the SAK from me, unbelievable difference on my HMR.
huey
Well I ended up getting a SAK thanks for all of your advice. Off out early in the morning to go and pick up my rifle so I have something to mount it on!
JRDS
Another vote for the SAK from me, unbelievable difference on my HMR. Try an ASE Ultra, they are far better than a SAK.
Dunkield
The SAK is predominantly a .22 rimfire mod although they get used on hmr's as well, I have heard (excuse the pun) ASE UTRA's and DM80 etc are better but then are dedicated HMR mods so they ought to be.
