deer stalker
After wating 8 month for it i've got it. It's better that i though it was going to be and though it was going to be increable. The scope i have been wating for was a 5-25/56 gen-2 with the p4lfine retical, i'm not joking you can see a rabbit at 600yards eating and see what it eating as well. the defernition id so good, at that range each blade of grass clear crisp and seems like you lookig through a magnifing glass. Have a scope like this is all well and good but putting it on a rife like this is the best combernation you can get. the rifle it's been put on is a unique alpine TPG-1 in .308win. dazza
Is that a pic you posted of your rifle?. If it is somebody's stole your pic. The third one down. http://images.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=h...%3Doff%26sa%3DX
Hunter
Even if he did steel the pic, its an awsome gun. Infact im seriously looking into this gun for long range hunting. And shorter ranger Deer stalking (yes i know its a very heavy gun). Only major downside is I cant get it in 6.5 and its a bit pricey. P.S 25Xmag is not much when you get to 600m/yds I would be suprised if you can see grass/vegitation with the degree of accuracy you describe. But then again a scope like that costs over a £1000 and the clarity is far better then my 25X scope. :o Edited May 23, 2008 by Hunter

Mungler
FINALLY <sighs>, my Eurofighter has arrived. It's a single-seat, twin-engine, agile combat aircraft which can be used in the air-to-air, air-to-ground and tactical reconnaissance roles. It's just sooooo really grate mates. It.... high performance is matched by excellent all round vision and by sophisticated attack, identification and defence systems which include the ECR 90 long range radar and Infra Red Search and Track (IRST) system, advanced medium and short range air-to-air missiles and a comprehensive electronic warfare suite to enhance weapon system effectiveness and survivability. Eurofighter Typhoon is intentionally aerodynamically unstable to provide extremely high levels of agility, reduced drag and enhanced lift. The unstable design cannot be flown by conventional means and the pilot controls the aircraft via a computerised ‘fly by wire’ system Here's a picture. Mungler
Errr yes, un, errr you have sharp eyes there young Starlight. Yes indeed, the german markings are in fact magnetic stick ons - the people that did my transit van knocked up a set containing all the flags in the UN for me. This means I get to see action all over Europe.
tuck1
Please stop it. I think I have developed a hernia from laughing, and in the process have woken up the nagger (sorry wife) who was meant to be having a lie in. Bad books for me then. Mungler
Hunter, I spent years of research on which short to medium range tactical fighter to purchase before nipping down to my local Eurofighter dealer to go on the waiting list. After some haggling on the finance and the deposit down required I got one in desert grey with a sweet set of rims. I also noticed that these people appear to have copied both my words and have taken a picture of my plane ! Well I'll be. As for "giz a ride" it's single seater. Of course if you want to pop round and see it I will have to make up a pony excuse explaining why I cannot actually prove possession of said Euro Fighter. Pick a day to pop round and kick the tyres and it will be the day the erm gearbox went and it will be in the Eurofighter garage. I had one of these, it's in my shed somewhere, they don't shoot high brass, red, number six shot, cartridges very well, the twist is all wrong. How long did your variation take to get this on it? My FEO says that unless I can get some HQ approved sky on my permo, and a new cabinet, he won't let me have one.
tuck1
I'm sorry Mungler, but I think you may be pulling our leg here. Ah, I did in fact have a full on handle bar moustache however due to a very nasty chip pan fire whilst knocking myself up a deep fried Mars Bar brekkie.... Nice one, I had thought about 50 cal, but decided that 20mm cannon was the way to go, my FEO was very understanding, but he did say that I should be very careful not to miss any rabbits, as the bullet could circumnavigate the world and hit me in the butt. I would put a picture up of my new gun, but somebody might recognize it as being from another site, some devious people on this forum, dashed unsporting. Mungler
Don't tell me, you can't post any pictures of your gun and scope because they are both in with your local gun smith because the gear box has gone on them Or is that the gearbox on your digital camera My underpants have been washed and ironed by Mrs Mungler in anticipation of me being wrong about this and me eating my under pants. I await with interest pictures and or excuses.....
