red_stag88
Ever been to Auschwitz in Germany. Everyone I know who has been has been cut to the bone with grief. The sickness and inhumanity of man is dreadful.

pete evans
go to the genocide or halocaust exibition at the imperial war museum. gives an amazing insight into the "ingredients" required for genocide, its not genetic it just requires a combination of circumstances at the same time. very thought provoking
jimdfish
If you really want to experience grief and the inhumanity that man can inflict, Try supporting Stockport County and Scotland Jim

Pike
Jonno, my Grandad was on one of the Flower class corvettes that liberated Guernsey and has asked me to take him up to the Eden camp to look at their displays. Is it worth the trip up from London? Jim, I support West Ham and my local team is Dagenham and Redbridge - you thought you had problems! The Sniper
Pike, Here is the link for their site. www.edencamp.co.uk As to wheter its worth coming from London...only your Grandad can say. I have been twice now, as it is fairly local to me, and it is very interesting. Possibly looking at the site will make the decision.
jonno 357
Jonno, my Grandad was on one of the Flower class corvettes that liberated Guernsey and has asked me to take him up to the Eden camp to look at their displays. Is it worth the trip up from London? Jim, I support West Ham and my local team is Dagenham and Redbridge - you thought you had problems! I spent 5 hours there last Sunday and I really enjoyed it. There's 30 or so huts that have been converted into individual themes. Everyone is different. For instance 1 hut has been constructed to look like the inside of a sub, 1 shows trench scenes, 1 shows a scene of a London street during the Blitz etc. The list goes. The walls of the huts are covered with information, medals, cap badges etc. If you were to read everything you'd be there for a day or too. If you were to come up from London I think it would be worth while to stay a couple of days and visit the Yorkshire air museum down the road just outside York, and have a look around the historic city of York PS don't come up during "Royal York " week when Royal Ascot moves up here next year. Us tight Yorkshiremen are scaming you Southerners next year for B&B's around York £6000 per week to rent diggs off the Harewood Estate next year Jonno
