casts_by_fly
primers and heads are locked in the safe. Powder takes up too much room so it is on a high shelf out of the way. No kids, few visitors, and the door to 'my room' is always shut anyway. Powder isn't as bad as some think it is. Thanks, Rick

Vegeta
we cant reload so easily here in the republic so excuse the ignorance. I thought it was a bad idea to put powder in a metal cabinet and a wooden one was a safer option.

I thought it was a bad idea to put powder in a metal cabinet and a wooden one was a safer option. Its Black Powder which has the really strict rules regarding storage, however yes im sure it would be better in a wooden cabinet. However when inside a Sealed container i dont see the issue myself. The only way they will see a naked flame is in a fire, and frankly i doubt a wooden cabinet will help matters there.
njc110381
A filing cabinet isn't going to give it enough compression to explode. I wouldn't keep it in a safe though, that would go off well in a fire

Vegeta
Cheers folks. I got slated on another site for proposing storing it in a metal filing cabinet type scenario so was just checking. I'd believe you guys anyday of the week as you have practical knowledge unlike most of us who are praying for relaoding to be made more approachable here in the Republic.
