I found out what happened, they took the dog and tied its legs and mouth and put it in the bonfire when building it. they then stood back and watched later that night when it was lit. the dog was heard screeching when it was lit but people could not rescue it because of the flames and heat.

Hi all

I read the sun and the article about the bonfire. I must admit that i have never been so close to being physically sick while sitting in my armchair :-(

I am a long term dog lover and of animals in general. This sort of behaviour makes me sad to be part of the same so called 'human' race as the twisted brain dead ********* that committed these sick acts.

There are sick people in this world, of that there is no doubt. Although I enjoy hunting, as do all who post here, I cannot stand for cruelty to animals. That is the difference between a hunter and a killer.

The children who did this, I believe it was probably teenagers, are the ones who will eventually commit murder. They will grow up to be the future serial killers of the world. The infamous Jeffrey Dahmer killed and abused animals when he was a child.

Banning fires won't stop this unfortunately. They will just find another way to torture someones pet. They always do.

I can honestly say that if this were my dog and I knew, or found out, who committed this act...that I would exact an equal revenge on them. My dog is only a Lab/Border Collie mix but I adore her and she me....

...methinx I will stop now as I am getting very angry....

What was in the sun then? I do agree that the age of bujying fireworks should be put up. My friend bought out some fireworks into a fied the other night and i got caught on the reciveing end of one going bang. Not plesant at all. I burnt three fingers and had to go to casualty. He'll have a busted nose when i recover.

i feel physically sick reading this, how can people be so sick, i like everyone else her enjoys hunting and believe that the killing of animals such as rabbits rats etc etc is justified when the kill is quick and clean, but to kill a dog in this manner is absolutley appauling, the people responsible for this should be made to suffer for a long time, if this was my pet i would be hounding these people for as long as i live and make their lives a living hell. as said in a previous post there is only one thing good enough for these fuc£ers, a bullet right between the eyes. :<

Dazza,

Ive served a fair few years over in your neck of the woods and although I have never agreed to what goes on over there I do agree with the way some of these little undesirables are dealt with by the various groups of paramilitaries over there.

Hope they get the ba@tard of give hia good debriefing.

Foot in mouth again probably.Having lived the majority of my life in the "sticks" living in a city is untrue.I was sickened when I read of that poor animal,s death. I can only speak asI find so here goes. City kids from what I,ve observed are for the most part not taught how to behave once they are away from the parental eye. Living in the country children soon learn that animals can and will fight back. I don,t see around me the diversity of thing to do needed to occupy young minds. I see the kids here hanging around always on street corners no doubt so they have a choice of where to run. By comparison because city children don,t grow up with large animals they find it easy to bully small dogs and cats ect. One of the first examples of this I encountered happened within weeks of us moving here. Our elderly lady neighbour had two old cats. one nights the local "kids" got hold of them tied ther tails together and threw them over the clothes line.I cut the rope and got them separated for her but one died the next day and the other one won,t leave the house. Cruelty is in all of us being taught to contol it is the hard part. We as shooters and fishermen are often classed as cruel but I think if people stopped to think are farmers cruel who rear beef to feed them. Eggs being eaten could be said to deprive the hen of her young and so on. I don,t have an answer to the problem of todays youth but I suppose it has never been different only today we have excellent communication and learn what is happening.
