will show you if i can hold of some alum powder. been to about 15 chemists today, and none have them stock it now. ill have to get some online and ill auction off the first pair of rabbit mittens :)

forget the alum, just skin your bunny, lay flat and rub borax into the skin [flesh side] then let it dry......

owt else you need to know just ask :innocent:

another chemical or talking a load of borax

 

Can't you use the brains?

 

 

 

have seen that somwhere, dont they mix it wth oatmeal, and the rub it in?

 

might just stick with the borat for now. do i need to scrape the fat from the skin first?

hi ya,

which brand of slug powder is that?

 

all my skins so far have been salted or air dried.

they stay hard though.

 

i did use oats on cow shin skins and they also went hard and curled under.

 

make sure you get all the fat off the skin, else it stinks.
