Robby22
Hi, set a sand track on our shoot, just to see whats moving about and found the below tracks. I dont know what these are, weve found badger tracks (which are a lot bigger) , fox tracks (which have been dealt with) and deer. Any help appreciated, I was thinking along the lines of maybe stoat/mink?? Thanks
southernlad
Almost certainly mink tracks. Stoats only leave four toe indentations and would be slightly smaller. Either that or a feral ferret? They also leave 5 toe marks and are about the same size.

henry d
If the sand was from a burn/lake and the finger very close to the tracks, I`d say mink or possibly feral ferret, if not then stoat.

tulkyuk
The ones your pointing at maybe a mink or polecat, the 1 to the top left could be a fox
malkiserow
if it really has 6 claws I don't think it is any of those above.... mink has 5 but claws but one is high up so prints show only 4 polecat can show 4 or 5 depending on speed/softness of sand squirrel 4 front and 5 rear hedgehog 5 unless it is a freak or somehow managed to make it look like 6 we need some more thoughts ........ southernlad
Nothing I know of has six claws. I'ts either deformed or it's not a clean print IMO. I still say mink or ferret.
