Whitebridges
Anyone seen any sign of the prices dropping? Lead has halved in price. Are we still paying top prices while lead was sold for top money? I was in Halesworth this week and picked up 500 12 bore 32g No6 Clear Pigeon for £91 (£45.50 a slab). Richardsons prices are pretty keen, but I thought this was more than enough. Edited November 1, 2008 by Whitebridges

Windknot
I doubt you'll see cartridge prices tumble. Ammo manufacturers held prices stable for so long they desperately needed an excuse to increase prices- rocketing lead and oil prices did just that. The best you can hope for is that prices will once more stabilize, and that our incomes will increase as the effects of the recession wears off. anser2
I was ribbing my local gunshot about the drop in the price of lead and when were we going to see a drop in the price of shells. He laughed and said , but the price of plastic for the cartridge tube and metal for the head has gone up so do not hold your breath. Mind you I got 200 gamebore steel mammonths 36gr load at £6.00 for 25 yesterday.... 50p cheaper than last year from the same shop.
