Deako
Load of bollix...that Ross Kemp is so far up his own **** its a wonder he can see to shoot. Saw the first series and laughed for days. Deako
or 7.62 seeing as its military calibre...more likely .338 lapua though. http://www.accuratereloading.com/338lmag.html Sorry Snipe ...where you been???

The Sniper
Deako, It was a bloody 308....the ITV couldn't afford a Lapua !!!! I stand corrected. :o You asked where I had been. Well, I was hospitalised Christmas eve morning with another kidney stone. I think ( fingers crossed ) it has gone now. Ern, I haven't thrown the towel in on this forum, yet. But I do feel the forum is fast becoming just a chat room. I tend to post when I know something that can contribute to the forum, or ask for advice. Not just reply to every post. I have no problem with younger members joining, I am all for it. They are the future of our sport. But that doesn't mean I have to suffer fools gladly. I did comment before Christmas about the amount of pesudo swear words on here, that had stopped me letting me allow my grandson to view the postings. I am pleased to say the amount of swear words has slowed down considerably. The quality of any forum is maintained by its members.
Salopian
Accuracy International Lapua .
PTaylor2k4
so got the missus to record it for me ...I watched one where the SAS were on a ship docked and they fought another countries special forces thinking they were terrorists... totally unbelieveable. I'm glad we dont have people like those idiots serving in the SAS
oddbob
I find it hard to watch anything like that anymore, being a shooter you tend to spot the glaring mistakes............like magazines that never run out I think we could have a new thread on that line.... dunganick
its a .338 lap mag, as tht if our sniper round, a nice one too, shame the guy who was 'shooting' is had awful trigger control, couldnt hit a barn door with a snatch like that, i dont even like the AE's they arnt made nicely and use a rem 700 action, should take a leaf from the finish and use TRG's in .338 lap mag
pigeon master
Nick, Clever lad eh. your post surprised me there...in a good way I mean not a bad. I would get that springer you wanted I think it could be the dog for you Nick. If you ever need some good advice or information then look for madspringer or new to flock, they know what dogs are about and will keep you on track, your mothers tactics may be a little different to a gundog man so always worth talking too. floyd
SHAME, none of you eagle eyed guys didn't spot the snipe had his butt mounted bullet pouch on the inside of the stock, would have made a lovely series of ballistic tip indentations on his right cheek, oh and the SAS don't use ballistic tips either a they're against the Geneva Convention..... The Sniper
Floyd, I did, but chose not to mention it. Plus why were the cartridges the wrong way round in the cartridge holder ?? I suppose it looked good on the tele.
leon
The round holder on the inside of the butt was holding 5.56 I reckon they were not big enough to be 7.62 or .338, as for Ballistic tipped ammo aren't SAS exempt from the FMJ only. Just my thoughts. Leon
