Does anyone use 'Genius Playlist' in Itunes? It's really good and manages to work out the right mix of music, dependant on what you fancy listening to.

I use it now and again but find alot of the tunes i pick to make a genuis playlist dont have any other in my library to 'match ' with , and it can be quite random! I picked a chemical bros track to make an electronica playlist and it threw in a few songs from atom heart mother!!! What's all that about?

I too am listening to the kings of leon at the mo. Youth and young manhood in particular :)

Found alot of people started listing to them now that sex on fire is in the charts although they've been around for years!!

i find the older i get the more random my choices - 'tallica, Slayer and thrashy stuff in the morning and Dvorak on the way home - Gawd bless the ipod i suppose. Must admit that since working out how to convert Youtube to ipod i have saved a bleedin fortune on vinyl to CD conversions - Anyone for Waysted, Chariot, Wildhearts etc.

Is it right to still like "Hair bands" when you ain't got none??

p.s. LeeinVa - Beating the odds by Hatchet is a great tune - Along with anything by ZZ Top before Eliminator

I cant understand what happened to Kings of Leon-if you listen to the new stuff , such as sex on fire or use somebody-then listen to the earlier stuff on youtube -the lead singer seems to have had a vocal transplant.

anyobody not get shivers down their spine when the chords start?! :)

When Ozzy had his marbles!! Tony Iommi was a bit of a genius, miles ahead of his time, very understated. Believe the Sabs started out as a bit of a jazz band called Earth - If you listen to the early stuff, there's a load of great breaks and syncopated stuff in there - Lovely nuances in crushing sound. Sometimes less is more.
