garyb
I'm having big trouble since including a T8 on my .223 setup, which has rendered the Scope Mounted lightfore 170 useless due to the glare reflecting off the back of the T8 and into the lens. So far i've tried a mod cover and moving the mounting bracket forwards and backwards along the tube... I'm sure someone else here has had this problem - what did you go? I don't really want anything which touches the barrel though.... Would buying a generic sunshade help - or am I wasting my hard earned, when something simple works better? jollysp2
My bull barrell s10k had same problem i've got mtc3-12x44 put 3" sun shade on job done
Dave-G
A matte black foam washer fitted over the barrel and pushed up to the mod might help. One of the reasons I would never use a lighthouse is that its top is way to far above the scope.

Ta GB Had the same prob and as a quick fix I fitted a black woolly sock over the mod and back up the barrel, looked pants but works. Baldrick
My foxing rifle's barrel and mod is entirely covered in brown fabric tape. The bottom quarter of the 170's lens is blacked out with bodge tape. No glare. Lots of dead foxes.
Pipmoff
I use butler creek flip up lens covers that block the bottom part of the light out eliminating the glare.

Warlock
I have my lamp mounted under the gun, gives it alot better balance as it counteracts the scope weight.
pavman
its a common problem and we have done this one a few times, if your scope has a threaded objective apperture fit two sun screens or you can get a push over one that acts the same http://www.wighillparkguns.co.uk/products/...mp;froogle=true good luck
