jonboy1
As far as i'm concerned, no time spent shooting woodies is a waste of time. Why would it be a waste of time? There's lots of birds about and lots of crops to protect.
proTOM1
Around me this time of year is when the farms want to see more of pigeon shooters because so many peas are grown and need protecting to say its not worth it is going a bit far soon there will be a lot of young birds about incresing the numbers on crops so i would say its a very good time to be out at them and like others have said its just nice to be out having ago any way ! ryantidgwell
im with you on that would rather be out shooting nothing than sitting in the house
winchester energy
Its bound to be a good time as this time of year they are breeding / nesting so for every one you take out theres possibly 2/3 eggs never gonna get hatched !! JR1960
Dunno what they're on about, i might leave the little ******* alone in the middle of a really hard winter but other than that anytime is pigeon time!
blackthorn
good chance you have crops that are not being hit, sounds like they are the lads who do a lot of recon and only hit them when there is a possible big bag involved, knot interested in a walk round in the fresh air and a pop at the odd bird flying past, might be wrong then again i do know a couple that are like that
kev 1
They probably want to save them for themselves, and trying to put you off the scent... :look:

DaveK
i tend to leave them around april/may to let them have chicks. makes sence realy Why? The idea is to deplete the numbers and not to build up your shooting stock. You're there by the grace of the farmer to protect his crops.
