Around me this time of year is when the farms want to see more of pigeon shooters because so many peas are grown and need protecting to say its not worth it is going a bit far soon there will be a lot of young birds about incresing the numbers on crops so i would say its a very good time to be out at them and like others have said its just nice to be out having ago any way !

good chance you have crops that are not being hit, sounds like they are the lads who do a lot of recon

and only hit them when there is a possible big bag involved, knot interested in a walk round in the fresh air and a pop at the odd bird flying past, might be wrong then again i do know a couple that are like that

i tend to leave them around april/may to let them have chicks. makes sence realy

 

Why? The idea is to deplete the numbers and not to build up your shooting stock. You're there by the grace of the farmer to protect his crops.

Quite true everyday should be a pigeon day, its like this pigeons = damaged crops = p****d off land owner = your **** at pest control dont bother comming back!!!!!!!
