Beardo
took the .17hmr out to re-zero it after the nasty bang on friday. hmm couldn't get it to adjust enough to hit a foot square target at 15 yards!!! ended up one of us leaning on the rifle, the other leaning on the scope to bend it in the right direction. eventually managed to get it on target again (25 rounds later!). now i was zeroing it at the same location i'd seen a fox on friday night, so we sat in the Frontera for 15 mins or so and squeeked with polustyrene on the glass. sure enough 9.15pm same time, Mr Fox pop his head out of the rape and trots across the month old Millet. I get straight on target and drop him at 136 yards. Only had two rounds left, so his timing was impeccable

Newsportshooter
I thought you said you used the 20grain CCIs I gave you..... I spy a winchester box in that photo.... So which was it balistic tip or hollow point??
Beardo
it was a CCI gamepoint 20gr, i had 10 of them in the end of the box to test had fired all the Winnies whilst trying to re-zero the non-zero-able scope. interestingly - the CCI 20gr gamepoints group about and inch and a half up and to the right compared to the impact point of the Winnie 17gr Ballistics Tips. I spoke to Deben (Hawke's distributor) today, and they recommended what i did (actually they said hit it in the opposite direction with a telephone directory, as opposed to one of us hold the rifle whilst the other leans on the scope)
