Ear Defenders

Been looking at ear defenders, seen quite a few Peltor ones, but there is quite a lot to choose from.

Im not looking to spend a fortune, passive type and not electric etc. I have seen Peltor do a shotguner make, I presume these are slimline for shoorting. Would this make be ok to start with? Is there a better option?

What would you suggest I look at as a good starting pair ?

Thanks

got a pair of the Deben slimline passive jobs. Pretty good, were about £12 iirc.

Have to say, I'd like some active leccy ones, but dont want to spend a fortune. Deben now do some active ones for £50, but they arent slimline. Their slimline ones are £80-£90.

I really like the Pro 9's they are light and easy to use and fit in your pocket. The only problem is if you have a big head ( or hat ) they can fall apart, though they are easy to fix. I think they cost about £ 20 so they won't brake the bank.

Ear defenders are a matter of personal preference - I started with Sonic 2 earplugs (uncomfortable and ears ringing at the end of a shoot), then tried Pro 9s (much better, but ears still ringing a bit) and finally settled on Peltor Shotgunners (no ringing in the ears, but ears get a bit warm and sweaty!).

I use these De Luxe Turbo Bitchmutha "Earplugs on a Rope" from Homebase

They look a bit like these but they're better. Filthy cheap

Peltor style ones are very effective but I can't stand having sweaty ears
