jonno 357
What do you think ? Same user ID put bids in on 8 seperate items from same seller. He puts bids in early, never in danger of winning the item. The amount is about the same evertime Coincidence or shill bidding ? Have you spotted him yet ? Do a completed listing search And the answer is ........................................ TUT TUT TUT  <Hello matey> Jonno Edited May 11, 2005 by jonno

Will Beasley
Are you saying Deako bids on his own gear or gets one of his mates to do it for him?
jonno 357
Are you saying Deako bids on his own gear or gets one of his mates to do it for him? No! Not at all Will Just a dicussion I threw into the General banter section. Its nice to hear other peoples comments I was surfing eBay and came across the item for sale. I always do some research into sellers history etc. After all its there to be checked. I looked up completed items sold under the eBay user name and IMO I saw a bidding pattern from a certain eBay user. I don't know if its me being paranoid so I posted on PW forum for other peoples views and comments If its genuine then so be it. If anyone sees bidding patterns(shill bidding).Anyone is within there rights to report bidding patterns to eBay admin Jonno

Devilishdave
It is potentionaly a coincidence, I have 3 people that tend to bid on (and win I might add) a lot of my gear. Probably between them they win 30% of all of my stuff. Strangely enough one of them in from hungry but seams to be mad for the Barbour gear. Deako
'kin 'ell jonno!! Do you really think I could be ***** to get mates to 'bump' up the prices on ebay listings? :< ebay is simply a marketing tool for us...cheap advertising and letting stuff go for FAR less than retail. If I was going to get into shill bidding, rest assured, I'd have LOTS of items listed. Take it for what it is, a chance of a bargain for you, and some cheap advertising for me, simple as that. Paul in North Lincs.
I would dare bet a pound to pinch of **** that most of the habitual sellers on ebay manipulate the bidding to there own advantage!!!!
