monkeyboots
talking to a couple of mates last nite they saw a stubble field on saturday with about 200 pigeons feeding in it, they never got shooting it though the farmer said ok but as the field was right beside the local estate they would have to ok it with the gamekeeper so the farmer rang him but he said no as the birds are now out and didnt want them scared before next week as there is a shoot this weekend, so theres still woodies on the stubble just a matter of finding the right field

Dr D
took the dogs for a walk through the local forest for a walk today. loads of pigeons about it. So, that confirms what I had been thinking for the last week or so. They are either on the acorns or beech in my neck of the woods (excuse the pun). going to check a few more spots out before next weekend amd see if I can get at them. Anybody else out over the weekend?

GW80
I have 3 springers in total, the eldest dog is 11 now and won't stand a lot of work nowadays, which is heart breaking to watch as he was great dog and the look on his face when he's knackered and wants to go on isn't pretty, the other idiot is about 4 1/2 and is clean mad and not the most socialable of dogs, had a few probs with him and the new pup i got from monkeyboots of this site, but he seems to be coming round a bit know just have to watch him as he's a sly aul get when he gets your back turned!! Just realised my old dog sam is not 11, he just turned 10 last week!! Edited October 6, 2009 by GW80
