vole
England never fail to surprise. Anything could happen. Hope we win though. The Ozzies are like big kids and the toys will come right out of the pram if they lose
Wriggler
It looked like an easy win for England this morning with a few wickets falling early but Clarke has put up some resistance. Could be a good day tomorrow.
rimfire4969
It will end up with England playing just ok and it coming down to the last over with the aussies needing 5 runs from it We need to push hard now until we have them.

lord_seagrave
We need a wicket. FM ...and then some. It'll be important to break up this partnership - Clarke is playing really solidly. Still, the ball is nearly-new, there's moisture in the air and tomorrow looks like a good day to break the Lords spell. LS

I cant afford any more than I do for TV,phone, internet etc. They wonder how youngsters are going to be attracted to cricket and rugby if only a few can watch it. Radio for me. Tommo
I'll help ya! Out - Means the batsman dismissed from the field in one way or another Innings - A set period of 6 ball overs that it takes to get a whole team Out (test cricket) 20twenty is where they do this for 20 overs only (120 balls) Run-out - this is where the batsman either hits or doesn't hit a ball - but has taken the decision to get a 'run' (for one or more points) and has made the opposite batsman run too, but the opposition fielding has been able to get the ball to touch the stumps that a batsman is running to before he can get into his 'crease' Crease - the marked area (rectangle) surrounding the stumps at each end of the 'track/strip' Over - (6 bowled balls) then they change ends to bowl from the other ~ Leg wicket -if you are right handed (and batting right handed with you left side facing the bowler, its the stump that is closest to you - middle is the middle stump and off stump is the one furthest away Same applies to bowling spin - i.e. leg break - they loop the ball and spin it to enable it to hit the ground and spin into the pads - off break - spins away form you to the 'off' side! Just remember when you watching Boycott is a yorkshireman who only likes yorkshire and doesn't think there are any other player worth playing with Yorkshire for England! - the man is funny but does your head in... Sad i know - i played county as a schoolboy (Bucks and Northants) and for local town till l was 18 - when booze and women took over my weekends! danccooke
quick 'rules' (although officially in Cricket they are laws) for those who don't know You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get those coming in, out. Sometimes you get men still in and not out. When a man goes out to go in, the men who are out try to get him out, and when he is out he goes in and the next man in goes out and goes in. There are two men called umpires who stay out all the time and they decide when the men who are in are out. When both sides have been in and all the men have out, and both sides have been out twice after all the men have been in, including those who are not out, that is the end of the game!
