Did you bury them in the Garden before use Martin? (EDIT - No idea why I'm calling you martin MM...)

Dad has some (still yet to use them!) and says you should bury them in fresh earth otherwise the moles won't be near them due to the 'unknown smell'

I was thinking i would have to do the same thing mate. I was 'directed' to a PDF which gives good info on setting them and says not to bother weathering them. I didnt bother, and they worked for me. Two things i found hard to get my head round. The first being setting the trap :) still got the whelts now

And the second is digging out the tunnel. Its easy when you have got your head round, but im a long way off offering sound advice yet mate. :D

Thanks Phil. Do you use the tunnel or scissor traps? I have had the traps pushed out in some places, so just reset them back in the same hole. is this a good idea?

If the trap is being pushed or filled in it probably means it's too loose in the tunnel or not square so moley can feel it/move it. If he senses anything wrong, he'll just turn round and fill it with soil.

Your best bet would be to take the trap out, fill that hole and look for a new spot in the same active run and start again.

Good luck
