  1. Mr C, I did actually mean my comment with some sincerity - make the most of it!! Tee hee hee
  2. Now, now children. Play nice :(
  3. Assuming money was no object (so there is no need to post prices or links etc! ), what would you rate to be the ultimate rifle/scope combination? Should be suitable for a variety of quarry - fox, deer etc. What would you suggest?
  4. Did you know - there is no genetic proof that bad dogs are born! Unfortunately that means that dodgy dogs are down to dodgy trainers!!! Sorry folks its down to you! Best wishes Jess :o Pieman's pooch
  5. NTTF, you can find The Shooting Times at: www.shootingtimes.co.uk And you can subscribe from 'across the pond'. Don't know about Cranfield's video comments, but he's probably right - he seems to know lots of stuff!!
  6. I would never do such a thing! You've cut me to the quick!!!
  7. Ernya, what a thing to say!!
  8. Its no good, YP. The more I look at the picture the more I giggle!! :( What WERE you thinking of?
  9. Maj, it makes perfect sense! I also worry about the topline of the netting, and try to break it up a bit with the occasional bit of branch etc :(
  10. With another war looming, perhaps we need to equip our Marines with orange suits to stop the Americans shooting them again!!
  11. A very close friend of mine lost his daughter at Dunblane. As a personal favour I would ask if we could terminate this topic. I know it impacts on us all but the actual event is very painful for people close to me and my family. 100 years is chosen as it is perceived that no one will still be alive with a vested interest in the documents. Ther is no doubt the police fu**ed up, even they admit it. Hope you understand my request guys.
  12. I reckon the pigeons are faking it - so we leave them alone. Probably trained by Lord Lucan :( I'll let you know if anything odd happens locally
  13. Couldn't get off work in the end today However, dad and his mate managed to pick up 141 pigeons between them I'll try to get out at the weekend. The peas are great, probably 'cos they are the only thing for miles :(
  14. Jen, put a post on the 'who am I' page. We don't know where you live or who you are! I'm sure someone will help if you feed us some more info
  15. If all else fails swap it for a side by side or over and under!!
  16. That'[s the scariest chef's hat I've ever seen! Please, post the recipe!!!!! :(
  17. I have a Silver Pigeon and think its fantastic. Seems to stop anything! :(
  18. Columbus, I think we both know what I mean!!
  19. Dogsnuts, have a farmer friend who planted peas approx. two weeks ago - he is trying to see if they rot or if next year he might get to sneak two full crops in. We've had over 400 pigeons from three trips so hopes are high for tomorrow. Hope to shoot more than my dad for once! He might be old but bu**er can he shoot :(
  20. Tried one of the new Pinwood Rotors over the last week. Its very impressive and incredibly light. You have to screw it into the ground which, even our locally flinted soil seemed to work ok. My only word of caution would be that if you want a set of tripod legs for it they cost an additional £30-00. Probably easy enough to make but don't expect them to be part of the package :(
  21. You're probably right, Ernya. That bu**er Cranfield will 'moderate' me!! Is he the same 'Mr Moderator' that used to be on GMTV.. You remember, black bloke, mad and obsessed with keep fit?!!
  22. William, is that the same as 'I shoot so badly it makes no difference'!! :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
