Just wondering how the work is going guys ? A few of us here (myself included) were layed off a couple of months/weeks ago :( I myself have found some more part time work but still having trouble with anything full time. Also had some bad news that I have an eye condition that bars me from entry into the mililary was very gutted to hear this as I was in the final 6 up in RAF Cranwell's selection centre so I guess it's time to find a full time job now Anyways I remember some guys posting up about new jobs Hows everyone else doing ? Hopefully hanging in there What jobs you guys up to ? And Im wondering what jobs will allow you to take your dogs to work :( Id look at getting into keeping but I read alot got layed off n are looking for jobs :(

Why not try a S/S ? There generally quite light and there's alot of nice ones Some a scheap as £50 ranging up to several thousand pounds depending on your budget

It'll be used for Foxing and in the future deer My mentor has his for the same and has a 8x56 S&B so the magnification is fine Ive been offered a nice Burris 3-9x50 Fullfield II for a good price. Will consider it. Not in a rush so time to think

For the price you wont find a better gun. From all the CZ's I have seen they were all floated, and all shot very well

If you shop around and find one at the old price you could probally pick one up for about £500. Im lucky as I have found one for £590 near me. Hopefully pick it up soon Don;t know if id pay £750 plus for one though that's not so cheap for a "budget rifle"

Im sorry mate but that's a pretty stupid attitude. There's nothing deader than dead. There is "underkill" using too small a calibre to get the job done but unless your using a .50cal then I don't see how it can be over kill. BTW we now and then use the 243 to take out a long range rabbit, Its rather convenient as it skins it before you even pick it up

It depends if your FEO will allow you to have a 17hmr with fox listed as a quarry you can shoot. Luckily mine did If your after some serious fox shooting go for something bigger

Well off to have my eye's tested in the hospital today. I had a problem and having it checked out. If it is what they think then I am unfit for military service so can not join the RAF like I had hoped So anyways a friend of a friend happen's to be selling a beautiful springer spaniel. I have had the joy of working this particular girl and she was fantastic. She was fully trained up in England by a game keeper who got rid of 2 of his 6 dogs when he split from his wife. My mate had one and his mate had this one in question. I was just wondering (pending my tests) Do you think you could still train this dog to perform the working I want ? Most of it will already be taught it will just be getting the girl used to me. Like on the retrieve to bring n give me the pigeon or rabbit or whatever I shoot. Do you think she would be ok ? I have worked with her before in the beating line and she was a fab worker but she did run off a little on the first beating line n just crack on with it leaving me behind

It'll prob be given to the scroungers so they are fit to make it down the benefit office to get all there grants. Us working british will be told "But you are british! You don't need medicine! Its a midland gun company (demon) 12g semi auto Shotgun. Its only 3 shot so on a SGC. There £399 brand new with a 3 year warranty. Looking for £299. I bought it brand new on the 29/12/08. It's had less than 50 carts through it as I mostly go out with the rifle, so figured I'll try n sell it n buy a cheap S/S. Have fired about 50 shots n never had a misfire yet. If you want RFD - RFD at your cost. Its the synthetic version. Pics of the gun

just how big is the 6.5x55 then ? I didnt think it was that big a calibre as I have read the fuzz will grant it as a first time CF rifle + allow for both fox and deer. What calibre's would you say it was nearest to ? I thought it wasn't that much bigger than a 243.
